Commission Terms of Service

By commissioning me for custom artwork, the client is agreeing to the terms of service outlined below:

I. General Disclaimers

  • The terms outlined here may vary slightly depending on the type of commission.

  • Disrespectful and rude behavior will not be tolerated and the commission will be cancelled if it occurs.

  • Direct messages or personal messages outside of the commission topic may not be answered all the time.

  • I hold the right to refuse a commission.

  • I hold the right to post/display a finished commission artwork on the portfolio website and social media, unless the client has explicitly requested it to be private before starting the commission.

  • I do not use AI generation for commissions. All works are done by my human hands.

  • Commissioning does not grant the client the right to feed the artwork into AI-learning algorithms.

  • All commission discussion will happen in Email or Twitter DM.

  • I will make every effort to produce the artwork to the client's specifications and satisfaction. However, the client must acknowledge that the final result may vary slightly from the initial concept.

II. Accepted Commissions

Below are things I am capable of:

  • Making a general render of an anime/semi-realistic/stylized female character's 3d sculpt.

  • Making a simple 360° turntable video.

Below are things I am NOT capable of:

  • Making an .stl file for 3d printing. (I have not yet learned to slice a model for 3d printing. For a commercial use such as 3d printing, we will discuss further.)

  • Making complex animations.

  • Making a content related to: political issues, real events, real people without their consent, loli, shota, gore, mecha, or any unspecified excessive fetishes.

III. Payment & Fees

Payment

  • Payment is due in full upfront.

  • Payment is done through PayPal invoice using USD.

  • Please prepare reference sheets or images. A design fee will be charged if the client has no clear instruction on the desired design of a character, or no reference images good enough for me to understand the whole character design.

BUST

$250+

Bust sculpts are from waist to head, including both arms.
They can also be from chest to head without arms.

FULL BODY

$500+

Full body sculpts are from feet to head.
Also includes knee-up sculpts.

Additional Fees

  • The exact prices for the fees described above will be dependent upon the complexity of the commission.

  • Additional fees will be charged for any major/minor revisions. (See V. Process and Revisions)

  • Additionals fee will be charged if the client requests a diorama(a detailed background or stand for a sculpted character to stand on. A simple cylindrical stand is not charged.)

  • For commercial use, 250% of the original price will be charged as additional fee. (figure for sale, etc.)

  • Additional fees will be charged if the client demands tight deadlines.

  • Additional fees will be charged for the .obj/.fbx/.stl file of the finished model.

IV. Client Obligations

  • To make sure our ideas align, please prepare reference sheets or multiple reference images.

  • While the client may ask for minor directions in the discussion, the client must be fully acknowledged of what they are aiming for.

  • The client must provide clear and detailed instructions for the artwork's specifications and requirements. Any changes or additional requests made after the commission's commencement may result in additional fees.

  • The client agrees not to use the artwork for any unlawful, defamatory, or harmful purposes.

  • The client may not ask detailed questions about technicalities or functionalities of a certain software. I may not answer those questions since I am not a tutor.

V. Process and Revisions

Process

  • The client and I will have the same idea on the character's body type, hair, face, clothes, accessories and pose. Once these items are decided, they will be fixed and not be revised/changed. This discussion will be done through either Email or DM.

  • The client and I will agree upon the deadline before the start of the commission.

  • The client then will make a payment in full upfront.

  • I will send the client the picture of the blockout(sketch) stage, in which state the client can make minor revisions (e.g: slight changes of arm's angle, minor adjustments of hair length)

  • Blockout and WIP images sent to the client will initially be low-res and watermarked.

  • I will regularly send WIP images via Email so that the client can understand the progress and give feedbacks.

  • If the feedback is given by the client within the revision standard(see Revisions), I will work on the revision before progressing further.

  • I promise to do my best to complete your commission within a timely manner. But please understand there might be unexpected events in real life that might get in the way that possibly may delay the process. In such case I will make sure to notify you about the possible delay.

Revisions

  • "Major revisions" include the items first stated in Process (the character's body type, hair, face, clothes, accessories and pose.)

  • I may decide if the revision is major or minor, and also decide if the revision is doable at the current state.

  • I will not accept any major revision on the pose.

  • 5 or more minor revisions will incur additional fees.

  • Simple change in colors is free (simple hue or saturation changes on hair, clothing, etc.)

VI. Copyright and Usage Policy

  • As the artist, I hold the rights over commissioned works.

  • I hold the right to post/display a finished commission artwork on the portfolio website and social media, unless the client has explicitly requested it to be private before starting the commission.

  • Characters portrayed in the commission artwork remain copyrighted to their rightful owners.

  • Clients are allowed to commission artworks that contain 3rd-party material (i.e. characters, logos, images, etc). HOWEVER, I will not be held liable for any infringement cases; unless explicitly stated by the client, all non-commercial commissioned artworks will be FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY, and I will be working under this assumption.

  • If the client uses commissioned artworks that contain 3rd-party copyrighted material for whichever commercial purposes, I will not be held responsible for any infringements.

  • For commercial use, the client MUST STATE before the start of the commission. Otherwise the final product is strictly for the client's personal use only.

  • "Personal use" includes: printing the artwork in either 2d or 3d, using the render for pfp, header, or banner.

  • When the client posts the commissioned work online, whether it's 2d render or a picture of 3d printed commissioned work, the client must credit the artist.

  • Do not claim the commissioned artwork as yours.

  • Do not remove watermark/signature.

  • Do not use commissioned artwork for NFTs, cryptocurrency, or AI.

VII. Cancellation and Refunds

  • Once the commissioned is finished and approved by the client, the commission is deemed complete and there will not be refunds.

  • The client can cancel the commission at any time of the process. In that case I will issue a refund equivalent to the amount of work not done.

  • If I am unable to complete the artwork due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of the deposit will be provided to the client.

  • If I must make a delay on the deadline more than 30 days due to unforeseen circumstances, I will provide 5% refund of the commission price to the client.

  • A finished render of the 3d sculpture.

  • Finished render of the 3d sculpture with many different angles.

  • Clay render of the 3d sculpture.

  • A 360° turntable video (optional)

  • .obj/.fbx/.stl file of the model (with additional fee)
